The singer and mogul behind Fenty Beauty and Savage X Fenty dropped $13.8 million on a 7,600-square-foot mansion in the Beverly Hills Post Office area, according to Dirt. It’s Rihanna’s biggest real estate play in Los Angeles of late — or at least the biggest known one.
Rihanna must have real estate on the brain: According to Dirt, the singer turned mogul recently purchased a new home in Los Angeles for $13.8 million in an off-market sale. The sizable property is tucked into the side of a steep slope above Beverly Hills that overlooks Coldwater Canyon, and is located on an exclusive cul-de-sac with current and former residents including Mariah Carey, Madonna, and Rihanna’s “FourFiveSeconds” collaborator Sir Paul McCartney.
The home, which sits on a half acre of gated, hedge-lined land and dates back to the 1930s, clocks in at just over 7,600 square feet. Its five bedrooms and seven bathrooms include an enviable main suite with a massive walk-in closet lined with glass-fronted wardrobes, and a luxurious bathroom that opens directly onto a large private terrace. Also on the upper floor is a home gym with a full wall of windows overlooking the home’s central courtyard, which features a swimming pool, hot tub, fire pit, and several outdoor entertaining spaces.
Much of the lower floor is outfitted in French white oak hardwood flooring and arranged in an open-plan layout surrounding the courtyard, which is accessible from most of the living and dining areas via wall-sized sliding glass doors. One of these living areas features diamond paneling on the crisp white walls and a striking floor-to-ceiling black marble fireplace, while another fireplace-equipped living space is decked out in shades of gray, from the walls to the wet bar to the built-in diamond-shaped bookcases. The kitchen, meanwhile, is a bright and airy space, with white cabinetry, gold hardware, and two white marble islands, as well as access to another narrow terrace.
Rihanna has made a habit in recent years of scooping up property all across L.A. County: She’s also the proud owner of a Hollywood Hills estate (which she’s listed as a rental property for the past two years), an elegant condo in the Wilshire Corridor, and a penthouse in a Century City skyscraper, which reportedly currently serves as the Grammy winner’s main residence.
